It was the year of the the 1998 NFL Draft where the number one high school prospect WR life was changed. Randy Moss was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round as the 21st pick. At the end of his first season in the NFL, Moss recorded a rookie record of 17 touchdown and third most yards in the league landing with 1,313. Randy Moss was then traded to the Oakland Raiders after six years with the Vikings. After his one year with the Raiders, Moss was sent packing to the New England Patriots to play with the QB Tom Brady. Spending four years of being a dominant receiver throughout 2006-2010, Moss is traded back to the Vikings where his career started. Now he gets to play with one of the greatest QB in the NFL and future Hall of Fame player Brett Favre. A few weeks ago, Moss stated, " I don't think I will be a Patriot for too long". Well he was right. The trade was made Monday, October 4, 2010. Is this a sign of Mosses retirement after this season? End where you started? We will see what happens coming next year. Lets take a look at the best of Randy Moss.
He's at the wall, Back..back....back OUT OF HERE! HOME RUN! Are you guys ready for some October baseball? Who doesn't like it when its playoffs time? Will your team make it far just to get to hold up that World Series trophy? Well at least I know my Cardinals are trying to make a come back in the Wild Card to make the playoffs but it won't happen due to three games left in the MLB. So much for the late comeback. One team that made such a comeback in the MLB standings would have to be the Philadelphia Phillies. They were down pretty bad to key injuries such as Jimmy Rollins the short stop, Ryan Howard the first basemen, and Chase Utley the second baseman all out for a descent amount of time in the regular season. After their return, the Phillies go on a big time roll to lead the majors with an 95-64 record. Which means they are leading the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays who were going back and forth for the lead themselves. Either way it go, these are three top notch teams to look out for making it far. As for other teams leading the division and wild card, you can basically call it a wrap for the ones behind. How can you catch up from 5-7 games back if there are 3 games left? Silly fools. Here is a link to the Standings for both NL and AL.http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/standings/index.jsp?ymd=20101002. Also, here is a short clip of the top 10 plays of the MLB 2010 season as well as the first half of the season. Enjoy and be free to disagree.
Thoughts of Red,White, and Blue as the Men USA basketball team took on Turkey in the Fiba World Championship game. Leading early was USA a little under 20 and finishing the game off with an 81-64 victory. This marks USA's first win in the Fiba World game since 1994. Wow. "We belong," Kevin Love said simply. "We belonged from the start and we knew it." Now it all comes down to who will make this USA roster for the 2012 Olympics. Durant is the most likely to succeed in this as he did break a single game record for 38 points and scored over 20 in the Championship game giving him an average of 22 points per game. He is a beast. Now they need to prepare for the Regular season and worry about the 2012 Olympics later. USA.
Who Dat! Who Dat! The Saints is where it's at. With the first NFL game of the 2010-2011 season kicking off Thursday night against the Vikings, the Saints came through with a 14-9 victory at home. With Vikings driving up field every possession, they seem to fall short of scoring. Favre threw for 162 yards with one touchdown pass but that didn't cut it. On the other hand Drew Brees led with 237 passing yards with one touchdown pass as well. He received help from his running back Pierre Thomas who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown. Giving the Saints 14. Whoever thought that Favre had it in him still? I didn't. Saints start off early with a 1-0 record as defending champions. Let's see if they can keep it up.

Pre-Game: He’s at the 20…the 10…Touchdown. Are you ready for some football? Less than a week away, we watch our favorite teams hit the grass/turf again. All thirty-two teams chase their dreams to becoming Super Bowl Champions. Back to those Sunday mornings as you watch the pre-game shows, crowds roaring, sexy cheerleaders, mascots, and touchdown celebrations. Who will you root for as the journey to the trophy starts now? Let’s take a look at who will be likely to lead the pack in each division. *
AFC
East: The New England Patriots made it by just one game ahead of the N.Y. Jets with a 10-6 record to take the pennant. Although Brady, the so called best QB in the league was injured, the N.E.P managed to pull through. This season they have picked up Tory Holt, ex receiver from St. Louis Rams who is now injured for the season. He would have been added to the strong line up of receivers along with Wes Welker and Randy Moss. W.R leaders for the N.E.P. J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets!! Rookie for Mark Sanchez and he carried his team into the wild card with a 9-7 record. Along with his stunning running back Thomas Jones who was third in the league with 1402 yards. We can’t just leave the speedy Revis who shut down most of the best WR’s in the NFL. Watch out because he is back for another run down. Who will you choose?
North: Shocking moment of the year for this division was the Cincinnati Bengals leading/ finishing with a 10-6 record just like the Patriots. Wow. Will it happen again? I don’t think so. It is possible though. Their main noticeable add on was Terrell Owens from the Bills. T.O. is still a popular dominant Receiver of the NFL with 14,951 career catching yards. Even though T.O. didn’t make the standings in top five receivers last year, he does what he has to do to get the win. Flying right behind them was the Baltimore Ravens one of my favorite teams. Joe Flacco the starting QB led the birds to the play-offs for two straight years and was one win away from the Super Bowl. Coming into this season, he knows what he has to do to soar back to the destination. Baltimore acquired Aquan Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals. Boldin was the second best catcher on the team. As you can see his journey is over in AZ and he decided to fly east. This tackles on to their powerful offense. Ray Rice, the running back is also ready for another year to get running for the purple birds. Will the Bengals run faster to the top then the Ravens can fly?
South: Peyton Manning, best QB in the NFL led the Indianapolis Colts to win the AFC South with a 14-2 record. Best record in the NFL. Touchdown pass after touchdown pass, Colts fought hard to perform top notch in the play-offs, but fell one game short of the Super Bowl game to the Saints. With Harrison, the ex reciever so long in the dust, Manning still has his mains Garcon and Wayne to lead. The offense has run the game for Colts so many years, they should have no problem galloping over teams to take this division. Houston Texans were the runner ups lead by Matt Shawb who threw for the most yards in the 2009-2010 season. They ended well with a 9-7 record but not good enough to have a play-off spot. Good luck this season. Behind them were Tennessee Titans at 8-8, and last but not least panting Jaguars ending 7-9. This is a no brainer. Colts take it once again.
West: San-Diego “Super” Chargers struck through with a record 13-3 record to clinch the west. Philip Rivers led the pack as well as Ladanian Tomlinson the RB. Don’t forget the thunderbolt Shawn Merriman the Line Backer who fought through the O-line, to get to the QB on many snaps for sacks. It was his specialty. It’s really no toss up that they won’t take it again even though the Denver Broncos who started off 6-0, ended losing four straight and was stuck at 8-8. No prancing smooth at the start of this year without Brandon Marshall their best WR being traded to the Miami Dolphins Oh no.
